Ben joined TERROIR Pty Ltd in March 2016 with a primary focus towards the design, documentation and delivery of the Penrith Performing Arts Centre and Framework Masterplan. Relocating back in Sydney after a long absence, Ben’s studies in Queensland have led him to work on numerous award winning projects across a diverse range of scales and typologies. These ranged from large scale cultural buildings, such as the new ABC radio broadcasting headquarters and Queensland Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal hall in Brisbane, to small bespoke houses, heritage, education, health and defense.
Ben's experience speaks more than his years in practice, having such opportunities to work as Research Scholar and Research assistant with the University of Queensland under esteemed AIA Gold Medal awarded Norwegian-Australian Architect, Brit Andresen. This work assisted in the schools’ inaugural travel studio and a key presentation at Geidei – Tokyo university of the arts.
More recently, Ben worked in Vancouver, Canada for several years as both project architect and project manager. This has contributed to Ben’s expertise in procurement through all stages of a projects life with a focus on ensuring rigorous documentation and detailing that contributes to successful outcomes.
Ben brings to TERROIR his communication skills with consultant management and client liaison as priorities.
