To commence his Visiting Professorship at Arkitektskolen Aarhus, Gerard Reinmuth will present a series of six lectures over two days on Jørn Utzon and the Opera House in Sydney.
Each lecture takes a different slice through the Opera House and its design, deliberately contrasting "official" accounts of Utzon's design process with a "next generation" view.
Gerard will suggest the Opera House might be an exercise in defamiliarisation, mimesis, importation or the play between the inner and outer.
